Hi all,
I'm replacing my ECU (computer) unit on my 97 Ford Escort (heater core leaked onto it).
Question: Do I need to reprogram the (used) ECU replacement unit? I am told that if I get an ECU from a 97 with similar specs, I probably wouldn't have to reprogram the replacement ECU.
If I find a used replacement ECU from 97 with the exact same part number, does that mean it comes from a car with the same specs, so that I don't have to reprogram the ECU unit?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
