I'll approve this for now, because I want to laugh at it. escort turbo kit, mkay. Going to wager right now that manifold they have in the kit aint the right one.

Is that a second gen problem? I dump the clutch on my EXP a lot. Also be aware, as I'm proof, the transmission in these cars do not like wheel hop nor do they like hard launches, you'll shatter them if you decide to get dumb with it. I was at 114hp with all motor modiciations and I was breaking them, a turbo kit, if you do not do anything with the transmission is not going to live very long.
I was responding to the original, "Going to wager right now that manifold they have in the kit aint the right one" reply to my post. Not only does it fit, it's a header design.US $1,491.13
price is right there on the"turbo listing"ebay link.
Wheel hop is a significant problem with 2nd gen Escorts, and 2nd gen Explorers in the dirt.Is that a second gen problem? I dump the clutch on my EXP a lot.
it's a bad problem on the 2nd gen, plastic pinion and spider gears... I finally bit the bullet couple of years before I got rid of the car and had a gear set made for it, I really put a bit of money into that 1.9 and tranny, why... because I was tired of the honda guys lol. but that car had hell and back because of a few people in my life and the car got abused hard because of my stress and rage. I could of saved that car from the crushers, it ran, it well "drove" still when I had to get rid of it, ugh and now I can not find one in my price range for sale... locallyIs that a second gen problem? I've never heard of "plastic" transmission gears. Guess that means weak ones? Does anyone know if a limited slip diff or other ring and pinion ratios exist among 2nd gen Escorts? I did put 15" alloys with 195/50's to get the speedo spot on. I worked as an ASE Master Tech for decades, primarily on Asian and European vehicles. Although I loved my 260Z, Pulsar NX, Tercel and air-cooled VW's, my Mazda Ford has been a joy to own and play with. You know, except for popping the LH axle out of. 😉🤫it's a bad problem on the 2nd gen, plastic pinion and spider gears... Why do you think it's for the DOHC? I've talked to the site owner, asking about obtaining the system with a smaller turbo (N/A) and he seemed knowledgeable enough to know the difference. Also, I don't think Escorts were offered with the Mazda motor before the second generation. You can easily communicate with them via the site, if you're curious.that 'kit' has a 1.8 manifold, not compatible with a cvh. plus, you will need to add another 1500 in fuel management and ecu tech.
