Very cool header. Blows a Pacesetter clean out of the water.

Looks like a real nice part.

Will it have to be modified to work with the second gen subframe like the 1.9HO header does?

$80 shipping? That's a little high.

Oh. Duh. Sorry I was at work and not paying too much attention.

I (nezwick03) placed a bid on it.

If another FEOA user outbids me, please let me know it's you so we don't keep outbidding each other and run the price up too high. It would be nice if somebody in our community did pick it up.

Yeah you beat me nezwick. I couldn't keep an eye on it at the end. Congrats. And yes you will need to modify it like the H.O. header. It's basically the same thing just brand new and a Hedman brand.

That's what I figured... I know somebody who can help me out with that. I'd hate to hack up such a rare gem but it'll be done respectfully.

The only thing though, and I guess I didn't really think of this first, is that it's a 4-1 design, and aren't our engines supposed to have a 4-2-1 header?

I guess its just a design, V8's have 4-1 headers all the time and its what they use in race applications. I think that if each cylinder has its own complete runner to the collector it doesn't matter. Also, having all runners equal length is supposed to be great for performance as well. Another thing you will have to do is add an O2 sensor bung to the collector because I think the early Escorts used carburetors.

Correct. You'll need to make 2 O2 bungs and an EGR port unless you eliminate it.
