i've been thinkin about gettin this for my car after i get the mazda grill and wanted to know what the watts for the bulbs would be best for this as the shades would block some of the lighting like the blue bulbs would. i'm lookin at the bulbs EFP has and would like some input.

80/100 would be good, but might melt your stock wiring. It's really not the brightness of the bulb that upsets oncoming drivers, it's the angle.

so even with the high temp sockets the wiring would melt?

If you were to use the stock wiring, it could, yes. the high temp sockets are just a higher heat resistant plastic. it doesn't protect the wiring at all.

You would want to step up the gauge of the wiring to help with the additional current load. Increasing the wire gauge and running through fused relays, should keep the potential for meltdown minimum.
