how difficult is it to replace the glass in the driver's door of a 93 wagon? just bought the escort only to have it broken in to while it sat at the previous owner's, awaiting my plates.

just go to an autoglass place, its not that hard, but youll be paying like 30-40 for the glass, when you pay like 55-60 for the glass and its done in 20-30 minutes. On my saturn the window got popped, it cost me 57 for the window to get replaced, and i was there 25 minutes or so. Thats my suggestion to you.

it's easily done in about 5 minutes.

1) take off the window crank and door panel

2) roll the window down about 1/3 of the way, or until you see the 2 10mm nuts through the access holes.

3) 10mm socket, unscrew the nuts.

4) pull glass out of the dorr

5) put glass in the door

6) reverse.

seriously, it is ultra-easy to do, if you're even remotely good with your tools.

c-clip remover for the door handle? (I seem to recall that being a necessity in my old Probe ...)
Just use a rag!

Rap the rag around where the c-clip points up, then just pull onr side of the rag and it should pop off.

Its hard to explaine but once you try it you should understand.

yeah, I love the rag trick... sometimes I've used both techniques (when my bro and I happen to be removing door panels at the same time) and it works just as good as the c-clip remover.
