yeah, i had the same problem not more than a month ago. but i was leaking antifreeze to make matters worse. unfortunately i needed a new radiator as well. $700 later, things were back to normal, heheheh. but i could´ve just had it patched, but would have to get a new one in the next year or so anyway. yeah, thats my story and im sticking to it..

my "check coolant" light sometimes comes on because it doesn´t recieve a signal because the coolant is so fuxxoring dirty. It it literally a dull green with chunks of brown mineral deposit everywhere. Sounds like somebody didn´t distill the water.

I should replace the rad with something decent, but I´d have to clean the coolant jacket and all that shiznit too.. sigh. I dunno how to do that.

Check for white crusty deposits on the rad. That´s where the leaks will usually be. Also check hoses, and possibly (eek) a crack in the block, which would be exceptionally bad, leaking coolant into the oil, etc.

ok, heres the deal, my car is leaking anti-freeze all over the air compressor, but i have a lubrico warrenty (does anyone know reliabilitie of this company), im calling them tommorrow and bitching at them to fix it.

I took it to my uncles who is very car smart, and he gave me the lowdown. Its a pos, well actually it runs nicley, but it had a hard life... Looks like a previous MAACO paintjob. It has many rust parts, dents, fisheyes, chipping paint, and such. The good thing is, this summer, i might sand down the WHOLE car, fix whole, dents, rust, the works, with my uncle, maybe paint it a COOL color (any suggestions) Does anyone know how much doing something like that might cost?!

the guage cluster thing might be a direct cause of my clear corners which i had to hardwire in cuz the lightbulb thingy wasnt the same as the other one

im kinda upset right now, but i am also excited to this summer

Gheck around the front and back sides of the block as well to see if there are any leaking core (a.k.a. Freeze) plugs. These plugs can rust from the inside out and spring pinhole leaks that can get bigger over time. Also look at your oil, and see if your coolant bubbles in the radiator with the car running.

The coolant is leaking on the air compresson ? LIke the fan under the dash ? (heatercore), or like on the belt-side of the motor around the actually A/C Compressor ?

Okay I lost coolant like mad fool, come to find out it was the "hose-from-hell". It goes from the oil cooler up above the oil filter through the intake manifold and to the back of the block. Took me 2 days to replace.

If it´s leaking onto the A/C compressor, then it is most likely the rubber O ring on the line that runs into the water pump on the front of the block. these always leak and no one ever notices when it is just a little. put a little ( and I mean little) high temp rtv in the groove that the O ring seats into. Just barely enough to coat the surface. It keeps the darn thing from seeping constantly. Just don´t put in too much or it will get into the cooling system and gunk things up.

As Blade and I can both tell you... if your carpet is wet or there is any indication it is under the dash fix it ASAP. We both had our ECUs fried from it. The heater core is way to close to the ECU and will dump water on it. Blade said about 48 hours of labor to replace it yourself. most shops charge 6-700 for the repair. the actual core is $35

yeh i had a leak from my oil cooler hose as well, but ford charged me 167 to fix that....NOW, i have another leak... it seems to drip from the right side of the head where some metal thingy goes into the head. Its right next to the distributor. The head aint the prob cuz there isnt any coolant in the oil. Its just when the engine is cold, it will leak out, but when the engine is warm it will pass the coolant pressure test perfectly. So, what could it be? Help me so i can get this thing to keep it from leaking
