This was not my kill obviously, but I saw this display on the way to work this morning and it made my day
thought I would share it!
An 86 or so Omni GLHS pulled up to a light to the right of me (three lane road, I was in the far left). Immediately, I could tell that this ride was WELL taken care of. Esthetically perfect, and I could tell by the sound of it that things where top notch from an engine perspective as well. To the right of him, pulled up about a 90 Prelude, also appearing to be in excellent shape. The prelude reved up a couple times and stared over at the guy on the omni. The Omni guy ingored him the first time. The prelude reved again. The guy in the Omni looked over and gave him a "I would not do this" sort of look, you could tell without him saying anything
The other light turned yellow, and the both started reving their Engines. When our light turned green, the both dropped the clutch, and for just a split second it appeared to be a close match. That changed quickly once the omni hit second gear. The rest writes itself. The Omni was 10 or more lengths ahead in no time. I had to turn off shortly thereafter, but I wish I could have pulled up to the next light to see the look on the prelude guys face. He probably had no idea what was under the panties on the GLHS.
Nothing makes my day (almost nothing
) like seeing arogant import drivers getting destroyed by under appreciated American compacts. I might add, I do not hate imports ( I adore mid 80's to early 90's toyota corrolas and celicas) but I hate most Honda drivers in this town)
Work is going to be great today!
