Once again, I would like your opinion on what should I buy like new car since my other was totally crash. I'm looking for maybe another scort, but I just don't want to put money in a old car. I'm looking to buy or rent a new car, not too expensive. About 20 000$.

My favorite is the Focus for the moment but, what are you recommand me to buy?

I gotta go with siragan on the Mazda 3 suggestion. I think that is a pretty sweet car. Or you could go for a Mazdaspeed Protoge (sp?) if you can find one kicking around.... (check out the mazda page, they list all the specs there)

My 8 top cars on my want list. I got one of them, so I won't put it on. (Si)

1. Escort ZX2 (new model)
2. Integra GSR/Type R (94-01 GSR or the 97,98,00,01 ITR)
3. RSX type S (ITR replacement btw) (new model)
4. Hyundai Tiburon GTV6 (new model)
5. Focus SVT (new model)
6. Mazda Miata 1.8 LS w/ the 6 sp and LS suspension (new model)
7. Mazda 3 (new model)
8. Corvette Z06 (new model) lol yeah right.

Anyway, those are the cars I'd go for, but out of your list...uh I don't know, it depends on what YOU want, apparently you're not into performance like I am as those are mostly economy cars.

I can get one at a local dealer for 15 easy, they're not selling anywhere and since the recent discontinue they can go for cheap.

Look, don't just say name of big car etc...
I have just 20 000$ CA to put in a new car. I'm into performance, but I just cannot afford that... so!

I forget about the Mazda3 so...!

Mazda 3 sedan w/ the 2.0L engine. Will probably be the most fun, and the newest design at about the same cost as the others.

Don't buy a Focus.. not now. they're going to be replaced by a vastly improved platform within the year.

I'd would go for the Nissan Sentra Se-r or the mazda 3... But the smart thing to do is to buy a car 2-4 years old... That way you save on insurance and you know if the car is a lemon, also you save alot of money when buying the car.

I look 2 times a week for over 1 year... Trust me, over here in canada they are very hard to fine, that's why im going to buy a 1998-2000 zx2

Oh and System down, if you want a nice car already modded, look for a 2000 ZX2 S/R, they are extremely rare but you can get one for 9000-10000$ with less than 100 000km and it comes already moded and from what i've seen it does 15.4~15.6 on the 1/4 mile.

Here are the add ons on the zx2 s/r

Why just the 00 ITR? why not any 97, 98 or 01 models? There's really not much of a difference between them besides colors.

A lot of those cars Tito mentioned will be good to buy, but expensive to OWN.

MR2 turbo - rare as all hell!
3kgt VR4 - hard to find without lots of mileage.
Buick GN - good luck finding one!

because '00 is a sexy number. :)

Any car is worth the wait when it's a car you really want. It took me almost 4 months to find a low mileage, black ext, gray int., '99 SHO. :) Then 2 months to wreck it. :(

edit - oh yea, and I don't vote for any of the cars in your list. With that kind of price range in mind, you need to be thinking more upscale. :)

Eh, i'm done car shopping. I got my new car already, i just gotta wait till mid summer for my grandpa to drive out from cali for me.

I got a 1996 Nissan 300zx w/ 53469 miles on it. Its a 2 seater v6 w/ a 5spd manual tranny. Its white w/ t tops and has leather interior.

Not too shabby w/ 222 hp at 6400rpm and 198lbs of torque at 4800rpm.

the 300zx has been my dream car for quite a while and now i finally got one. The escort wont get sold or nething, but its gonna be my winter beater unless i decide to restore it or something.

Bah I've decided on two car:
If they make me a price, the Ford Focus ZX3
and if not, I'll buy a Suzuki Aerio GL.

It's making me sad to not have a scort again, since I've the feoa sticker in my room, but maybe I'll put it on my next car :p
