This just pisses me off. I wish I hadn´t opened this ebay item http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1873434918

I only want the engine and transmission though, I don´t want the whole car.
It´s just sickening to me...Some idiot paid $25,000+ dollars, drove the car 29,332 miles and then destroyed it. At least the engine runs fine though. I bet he tried to out corner what the car could handle and hit something. I mean how else could you wreck such a beautiful car?

from what i hear, alot of ppl underestimate the power of the turbo and the awd...

people like to take corners really fast in those cars, and some forget about the car being turbo, so, when you down shift, or let the rpm´s slip...the backend of the car frees up, and it handles like a rwd....you slide of the road....

yeah, that´s disgusting........

Alot of my friends have AWD cars. A few have Talon TSi´s and one has a 3000GT VR4.

My experience with an AWD car was this:

In RWD you slow into a corner then punch it on the exit...because of oversteet.

In FWD you speed into it then back off the throttle to prevent the understeer.

In AWD if you are cornering and let off the throttle the car has a tendency to actually spin. You have to acclerate all the way through. Its even harder with a turbo because you start slow then try to pick the pace up a bit so you´re sure you´re not slowing during the corner, but then the turbo spools. Do to the LSD the power is put to good use, but can cause you to loose your grip if the torque exceeds your coefficient of friction with the tires.

Actually looks like the WRX or another car ran a stop sign or something and almost did a perfect T-Bone. The rear damage was from the back spinning into the vehicle that hit the front.

Still if i had that car, well before I´d even consider racing it against someone I´d let the engine break in, then i´d take it to an empty parking lot and try to purposefully spin it, the WRX can only take .89 Gs before it gets out of control. It´s not a car meant for cornering, it´s for straight line acceleration. If he did get almost Tboned, then I´m going to punch out the guy that hit him.

I took a high speed corner in a Legacy GT AWD and it felt GLUED to the road. Entered the corner feeling like a RWD vehicle, through the corner I could feel the power shift to the front, and exited feeling like a front driver. No understeer at all! The CarMax salesman with me was grinning also so he musta enjoyed it.

Only AWD car I ever owned was an 96 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro. Retained its composure well through fast turns even if you gave it gas. 2.8L six is a bit different from a turbo tho.
btw I wrecked the car after 3 months. Not from pushing it through curves tho. Fell asleep at 3AM driving home from gf, woke up eating airbag.
I was not a happy camper!
