I have a 1991 Ford Escort LX SEFI 1.9 liter engine and it is turbocharged and I was wondering if a 1983 Ford Escort 1.6 liter cylinder head would flow better than the cylinder head I have right now? Also could I even get a 1983 Ford Escort 1.6 liter cylinder head on my 1.9 engine block? I remember John Smith swaped his 1.9 liter HO cylinder head for a different one because it flowed better. And I wasn't sure if it came off of the 1.6 liter Escorts.

What about the 1.6 liter cylinder head that wasn't turboed? I am considering buying a brand new 1.6 liter cylinder head that was never bolted on a engine block. The cylinder head part number is RFE3EE-A7A. Do you know if this was the turboed 1.6 liter cylinder head?

Now that i am unsure of. I found a complete 85 turbo that i bought out of a jy here. I had it taken to the house, pulled what i wanted off it. And then called the jy to pick in back up. Do you have a 1.9ho head you can look at? The 1.6L head, if its the same as the turbo head. Will have exhast ports bigger than the 1.9ho head. The valves will be bigger as well. At least the exhast valves will.
