i have just a regular metal hack saw, i got a new muffler i want to put on, but am having big difficulties cutting the old one off, any tips/suggestions on how to cut it with a regular metal saw. i just put in a spectra intake and want to add a muffler

Mostly be real patient, dont try to hurry the hacksaw. A fresh blade helps of course. I find its usually necessary to cut the old pipe at an angle, so the cut amounts to a spiral going around. This is 'cause there usually isnt good access to the pipe other than the very bottom part.

I once had the use of a Sawzall with variable speed trigger & a metal cutting blade. It cut better going slower.

I started cutting mine off with a hand saw, but then got out the dremel. If you don't already have one it's a great excuse to pick one up.

Go to Walmart and buy a sawsall for 40 bucks. Hack that baby off in 30 seconds and then you have a cool tool that will cut anything!
