Anyone know where on God´s green Earth I can get a cozzy wing to mount on my ´92 EGT?

I want to complete the pre-Focus rallye car look on my car!!

if you do find one, beware - i´ve been told that they are too wide for the American Scorts, but probably nothing that some good modding wouldn´t fix...
as for aquiring one, you´d probably have to find some supplier in the U.K., i doubt anyone in N.A. would have them. i recall maybe a month or two ago someone posted about getting U.K. parts into the US through a few connections they had, maybe you can check those out. probably in the exterior mods section. hopefully that helps some! i mean well, i truly do! ;-) :-]

Clostest thing I have seen in N.A. is the wing from a Merkur XR4Ti, and they aren´t really that close to the cossie, but they are dual stack and they look great.

Cossie wings arent double stack by BTW , its a wide flat plane at roof level with a single center support strut

I am going to try to make one from a XR4ti wing. A little cutting and extending and fiberglass fabrication...5 hours later...we will see.

actually, the cozzy wing is a double-stack (kind of)

it´s comprised of a small lower wing, kind of like a rear deck lip, and a large spoiler level with the roof line, connected/supported with a single post between the two

I´m actually emailing a company in the UK right now about fitmenet/price for the US spec GT!!!

I wont tell you you are wrong because the not everyone that raced them had the exact same set up but all the pics of the WRC escorts that I have show the single wide wing at roof level with the center support strut and nothing on the lip of the hatch but like I said there might have been other cars with added spoilers and stuff so I guess what ever works and whatever floats your boat so to speak hehe.

I do remember on either this board or the other board somebody posted a cardomain link to a guy that made exact copies of the Cossie wing out of foam, glassed over it and mounted one on each of his scorts, he had both a 1st and 2nd gen and he did them both up as rally replicas also there is a guy one one of these boards named Cossie wannabe? that mounted XR4Ti wings on his scorts as well

I like how he refers to an Escort as Legendary. (click link above)

Also he refers to owning a Ford Laser TX3, from the pics though it looks almost exactly like an N.A. 2nd gen Scort

the aussie laser tx3 is almost identical to american 2nd gens but we got shafted out of a few options offered down under like factory turbo and all wheel drive

Belive me it´s not worth it if you don´t have a cosworth engine.
It would just be to stupid.
A guy here in norway has a cossie wing on a escort 1.4l. We just laught of him. And he has drilled some holes in the echaust to make it listen like a rally car.
Thats just my opinion

Accelerator,

I´d LOVE to have a Cosworth engine and AWD, but the fact is that´s not a feasible idea here in the states. IF I was in Europe, I´d BE driving a Cosworth Sierra. However, I´m going to have to settle for 170-200 bhp fwd A-Spec 2nd gen EGT and a Cosworth "look".
