He actually wrapped the car around the tree and the front half split away from the car. The story is this kid got this Cossie for his graduation present from his parents and 2 days later he was showing off to his friend in an English backcountry at 120 mph and lost it. So both him and his friend were killed in the crash.Robofunc said:James92Scort
Actually, he only wrapped the back around the tree. Jesus. I haven't seen a car break in half like that before. There was a passenger who died? What is the story, for those of us who don't know?
:? I'm not sure that I can ever tell anything for sure!! I'm also very suspicious about this whole scenario. As to the interior of this 'Cosworth,' it is identical in every way, other than LHD, to my '92 MkV Ghia (Ghia = Posh). If genuine, it was obviously a 'freak' accident. Where is all the broken glass, blood on the dash/seats etc., and where are all the ploughed up skid marks, I only see a few ruts in the grass and would expect there to have been more. Why have the emergency services allowed all those people to tramp about willy nilly all over the evidence. Surely if the police were not interested, the insurance company would certainly have wished to investigate ALL the circumstances. In all other such incidences I have seen (not many thank heavens) the scene has been 'taped off.' If it was the 'real deal' the tree came off best?? :?93EGTinLR said:not to nit pick...but there are a couple of funny things about this "Cosworth...maybe Foxy can tell us for sure...but that's my opinion...
I still find it hard to believe - Would people really take a car to, allegedly, 120mph and NOT wear seat belts/harness?? Where is the broken glass, small bits of debris and churned up grass? Not at all convinced it was even a MkV Cossie - no extra dials on dash - as I said before, the interior is exactly the same as my MkV Ghia. :?Robofunc said:I'll bet there's no gore on the interior because the people flew out right after the car came apart.
and some nice shrubberys (sp?).Zeemax said:The Monty Python crowd would look at this accident and sniff "Nuthin' a hammer and a bit o' polish wouldn't fix.'
The same dumbass that would go 120 on a back country road?I still find it hard to believe - Would people really take a car to, allegedly, 120mph and NOT wear seat belts/harness??
