Not escort related but looking for some advice on a cooling fan issue. Car overheated yesterday which led to discovering the fan wasn’t working and it has been close to 100 here last few days. I have replaced the fan relays and the fan fuse but still have no fan either at the temp it’s supposed to come on or with the ac on. Car is a 96 cutlass ciera with the 3.1

I would unplug the fan motor from its connector, and run 12 volts through the wires. It might take a fair amount of removing A to get to B and removing B to get to the fan wiring.

Its been close to 100 here too - and thats in the shade. Dont like to think what its like inside my escort.

Right now I have the fan hooked up directly to the battery and it works fine. Kind of leaning toward a toggle switch inside the car but never done that before.

They do make aftermarket thermostatic controls. You'll regret not having one the first time you leave the switch on and drain the battery.
