As a former owner of a coupl of Euro scorts and in great appreciation of them I thought I would start this line up..so come on in and say Hi...I will, as soon as I get my office back together fromt eh move, post pics here of the two scorts I owned while living in Germany...although the only pic of the cabrio I can find was taken in winter with winter wheels and tires...as during the summer I was too busy driving to stop and take pics of it in full glory with rims and top down...lol

cheers

'Allo 'allo 'allo !!! Nice brand new area - I have some pictures of a recent Car Club show, Trax, held at Silverstone Circuit England. It's 2.58am here, so I will post them when I'm a little less sleepy.

Hope to see one or two more people from 'over the pond' in here soon.

I am truly jealous...I need to find a good contact in Canada so I can get a cabrio shipped over...as to ship directly here would be such a major pain in the A$$....I do miss my old mk4 cabrio....

but seriously, if you find one, you can have it shipped to where I live... there's not much room to put it anywhere... so the pickup would have to be quick, but if you want it that bad, I can do it.

Hey Hey, loving the site,

well i'm in england and i own a mk5 escort 3 door, 1.6 CVH efi, nothing majorly special, but its nippy enough around the country roads.

its good to find another escort club, they look so different to ours in europe.

nice looking MK V, at least I think I've got that much figured...I am hoping int he next couple of years to find a dcent MK IV Cabrio to ship over here...the plan is to actually bring it here and convert the engine and drivetrain over to soemthing American just to make parts runs easier...

an MK 6 would be grand...will have to see how the cash flow is after I get my shop built next year...gotta have a place to keep her when not driving ...did they make the Cabrio with the RS 2000 package...that would be incredible...of course there is the holy grail of the Escort world that I would pass up a cabrio for if I could find one witha decent price...a Cossy...but for now it's on with selling off the old 93 and getting some things done so I can actually complete the aquisition that I desire

Fords never actually made a cabriolet with the rs2000 package but it wouldn’t be too hard to build one, just need a good cabriolet and a written off rs2000 then swap everything over.

Cossie is defo the ultimate and my fav by far.

What shop you got being built??????

well being a mechanic at work and at leisure I am building a nice two bay shop in my back yard for my personal projects and side work I do...I have been working froma friend's place, but I am tired of driving across town to get to the shop...would be much better at my house...more play time and less hassles from my wife about being gone all the weekends and evenings...lol
