Replaced the timing belt 2-3 weeks ago. Car ran good since. All of sudden it started to run rough and check engine light came on. It is P0340. I replaced the cam sensor but it did not correct the problem. Timing belt looks good and tight so I can imagine it could jump a tooth since it ran fine for awhile. Any place to check or look at next?

Does the car need to be driven after the cam sensor is replaced? I cleared the code and ran it high idle for awhile but did not drive it.

You should drive it after you cleared the codes and repaired the problem.

Alright I replaced the coil pack as well and took it for a drive. The check engine light does not come on but it throws a code. If you erase it and rescan it comes right back.

The car has no power and feels very sluggish. Also when it does not want to shift when it should. When you come to a stop the RPM is all over the place and acts like it is very close to stalling out.

Could the Throttle position sensor be the problem? Any other ideas?

sounds like you skipped time. the tensioner probably isn't set tight enough.

I had that happen after I had my timing belt replaced. But i reset the code and it ran normal with no codes again.
