in a 95 is there a tach sensor already installed? i was hoping to just swap a cluster from another similar matching assembly but i am not going to pay the money if that is not going to work.

'91-'95 Escorts with the 1.9 get the tach information from the EDIS module located on the front driver's side strut tower.

it wont just swap, you will have to rewire the connectors. As Casey said, check the how to... pretty good info there. You will need the wiring diagram for your exact year, and will need a tach cluster from your year... if you want to make your life easier.
