Im thinking of buying something for myself for Christmas, but instead of feeling conceded and selfish, ill say its for my Escort, now what probably around $100 Canadian ($60 Us). Im thinking maybe Clear Corners or maybe a Front Tower Strut, what do you all think, and no i already got good breaks

and a turbo for $2000 isnt just over $100 LOL

I´m getting a tach for my scort for xmas. (mine didn´t come with the "sport cluster" so I have to guess at RPMs). I´m also fixing her rear windshield wiper for her...

Then, hopefully a K&N filter and resonator box mod, MSD, and a new cat-back exhaust.

How about some cathode lights?
Maybe painting the dash a neato color?
New seatbelt?
New steering wheel?

I would say go for the clear corners. They look really good on the scorts. I have clear bulbs in mine cause the amber ones made the lenses look amber. I got mine on ebay for 35 bucks with shipping.
But if your gonna go with the dice, I would get the ones that light up. And while your at maybe the red fuzzy beads that go across your windshield and a cd that hangs off of the mirror with the dice. Or maybe you can get one of those mirrors that go all the way across the windshield also, I bet all those things would be under a hundred dollars.

i bought the car for 1904 dollars and spent at least 2500 on repairs, and as far as i can tell i have well over 7000 into it, and now I need to put more oil in it again. it was clicking this morning.

front tower strut is a strut (big metal bar) that goes from the top of each Shock thingy in your engine bay. It provides stability and agression in cornering. Also. what do you guys think about a total Tune up.. gettin her running the way she used to

Well, nuke that´s a good idea but if the shop starts finding other problems they´re going to want to hit you up for money for those. I´d say check out different shops and their prices for basic tune ups.

86FlameMachine: You have 1400 total in your car? I bought mine for 1904, and so far I´m pretty sure I have AT LEAST 3300+ dollars in it for repairs, that I can think of off the top of my head, including but not limited to: ~Clutch blew out: 600 bucks,
~Radiator hose blew out: 100 bucks, ~Timing belt snapped: 1000 bucks,
~Oil Rings failed: 1000 bucks,
~Changed serpantine belts, fixed intake and exhaust: 395 bucks,
~New tires cause old ones kept deflating: 300 bucks, and the list will keep going on. I have even more money in little nonsense stuff like tire valve covers a new shift knob, which by the way i took off cause the battery died. 1000 dollars of repairs isn´t a lot of money to sink into your car. I dunno, I have had crappy luck with my car, but you don´t seem to love your car like I love mine.
I´m thinkin´ you should get a different car, maybe a new ZX2 with a warranty.

I´d suggest saving the $35 for clear corners and just pop a pair off a Tracer at the junkyard. They are mostly white with just a small orange reflector (easily covered with white reflective tape). The pair might cost ya $10 at the junkyard.

Do you have a cone filter? If not I´d go with a K&N cone and the adapter for the maf, to fit the 3inch cone..

well, i should actually get a different car...but sorry, to say, it wouldn´t be a zx2...i drive my grand dad´s ever now and again, and i hate it.....doesn´t have the feel of my flamemachine......slow as balls that zx2......my scort would smoke it....but, i dunno.........i´ve got the word on a 78 firebird and a 73 mustang..........oldies.....but who knows.........

maybe i should just find another car...just to drive around...pull the scort into the garage, and do an engine swap........

i love this car......the looks, the feel.......ooo.....just makes me wanna go sit in it....who knows what i should do.....resurrection of the beast sounds like fun

ZX2´s are quicker than 2nd gen GTs, which are still quicker yet than 1st Gen GTs. How can it feel slower???

Meh, I know how he feels, i have one of the Faster Escort Models and it feels kinda slow sometimes, (auto BTW), i feel for ya buddy, wish i could fix my escort problems, but noone knows the answers

ALSO, i have a K&N Filter, its shaped like a cone, i think, well its K&N for sure, i did not put it on tho, the previous owner did. Im so glad he cared for his car

my X-mas presents for my Scort: replacement light bulbs for a burnt out fog lamp (aftermarket), and for a burnt out teeny bulb behind the dash!

that´s gunna be annoying to replace, more like an easter present so it´s warmer out when i fix it

btw a front tower strut is a bar that goes inbetween the strut towers of your front wheels and basically makes the front of the car more rigid, so it turns better.
