I don't recall Ford ever making a 5.2 liter engine. The 302 was a 5.0L and the 351 was a 5.7L.

I didn't do the math just knew the 302 was called a 5.0. If I remember right Ford did make a 312CI V8 at one time. In the 50's I think.

the 302 was a 4.9L technically...

I believe the 5.0 badge came more from the old Trans Am days. You could take a 302 and run in the 5 litre class. You were also allowed to over bore an engine .030 in that class. And if you did that to a 302, it came out to 305 which was the class limit at 5 litres. Chevrolet also had a 302 that ran in that class also.
