I changed my timing belt on my 95 Tracer 1.9l and it actually wasn´t to difficult. One thing that made me mad was that tensioner pulley was bad, and I needed to replace. More money that I didn´t have but had to spend! ;-) ;-) My car runs much better, a lot better actually. It cured that starting problem I had. It seems to have more get up and go too. My bud wants me to change his on his 1.8l and I looked at it. It will be harder than mine was though. $$ speaks for everything!! ;-) ;-)

It took me two hours. No I didn´t change my water-pump. My other escort went 230,000, w/o a wter pump change. I know pumps are cheap, but I´ll save my money and change it when it needs it. Why fix something that´s not broken? ;-) ;-)
