A/C quit blowing cold overnight and the compressor wouldn't come on at all. Took the car to my local mechanic and he replaced my CCRM, part number FC8F-12B581-BD with a new CCRM, part number 3S4Z-12B577-AA. Does anyone know if these parts are compatible?

Since the new CCRM was installed the compressor will come on. Initially while driving it would come on ONLY in the vent and floor settings and not in the other settings. This is just the opposite of what it should be doing. It operated this way for a trip of 20 miles or so. On another trip of 15 miles or so later that day the compressor continued to run in ALL positions. I came to a stop sign and the compressor dropped out and then would only work in vent and floor again! :?

Could the new CCRM be bad?
Is the new CCRM the right part?
Should I be looking elsewhere?

Thanks in advance for your help.

God bless.

The AC is supposed to come on in that setting. No those CCRM's are not compatible. They have to be an exact match or else it does not work completely.
