All cars have cat back exhaust. If you clean it out by holowing the honey comb out it is said that you couls gain some more horseys. I think it´a about 5 to 10. But remeber if they do emmisoins where you live your car won´t pass. The cat is what makes it legal and cuts down the polution. I did it to mine and did notice the difference.
it´s not to hard just got to get to it. To hollow it out take a screw driver and hammer to it. Thats the easy part. Getting it off ain´t to hard either.

Nuke - what are you talking about - the converter or cleaning the pipes after the cat? I noticed that my catback has a build-up of carbon and am going to clean it out in the spring. In some cases, the buildup is about a 16th of an inch. do the math and that translates to appx a 2.7% loss in exhaust flow due to obstruction. Compare that to horepower and it´s about a 3.8 hp loss, not a direct comparison, but I think you get the idea.
