My 93 EGT has a broken rear spring. I asked Canadian tire and they have a part # but it is the same as for the LX but not wagon. That can´t be. I asked NAPA and in one book there was one for all except GT and in another book it had a number for all exceprt wagon. That guy called the ford dealer and confirmed the GT spring is indeed different. If that is the case, no one makes rear springs for the GT! Has anyone been able to get GT rear springs? NOt counting aftermarket performance stuff. That I found. :-[

There must be some strange things going on up there in Canada, either that or that guy was just plain stupid. Of course you can get the oem springs for the gt. How do I know? I bought them six months ago. I don´t know who makes them, but I bought them at Autozone. I don´t know if the springs on the lx and the gt really are different. I would think the wagon springs would just be stiffer, not sure though. Maybe someone else here knows if the lx and gt oem springs are alike?

I know guys with wagons that used gt and lx aftermarket springs on the back, and it´s fine. There is a slight difference in stock spring rates, but when you go to aftermarket they are a lot stiffer than stock so it makes no difference.

when i was ordering eibach´s for my lx h/b, they had to check if it was a wagon. i´m thinking this implies that the wagon has different springs than both the lx and gt and the eibach´s wouldn´t work...but i wouldn´t really know.

what´s up everyone, i havnt had a post in some time- anyway.
Jug and I have been discusing thie issue between spring and what ive established from ford is the springs 2dr +4dr are ALL the same it´s the wagon that differs.
it´s funny how many of us are breaking springs at one time, i´ve heard of atleast 4 people at once?-weird. i read here a week or so ago someone saying they are a know problem with these cars because of design(ohwell), my car is gonna be 10years old this year and has the original springs+struts so i cant complain.
You would think that all the springs are different becaue of wheel-base and compresion-rate, espwcially since the LTS and lx-E use Tokicos´ from the factory, just like GT´s. maybe the wagons are like the GT´s then (at this point i´m confused) :-?
