The brake pin on the caliper is always coming off. The bottom stays in place but the top one, I always have to tap it with a small hammer to get it back into place. Is this normal? Or do I need to put some loc tight on it?

That pin has a tiny hole drilled sideways in it, and you can put a small spring clip into the hole so it doesnt move around. The other pin is the same, and should have either a 'keeper pin' or tiny cotter pin, or the springy metal piece they came with originally. Even a tiny nail would work.
You can order that brake hardware from www.rockauto.com. Its called the Brake Hardware Kit, and can involve new caliper guide pins, as well as the pin that keeps the pads from coming out.
