alright i've visited that website at least a hundred times. and still with questions. but 1st of all, my 87 GT, would that be classified as the escort/orion 80-90? also when clicking that it comes up with xr4ti the rs turbo series 1 & 2 etc.. i assume for my fitting i would use the rs series 1 or 2 does it matter? next the wilwood disc brakes is that just the front? or rear? or both? and are their cams most ideal, or does someone else know of better? these cams they have tell me very little don't know what i can expect nor do i know if they are turbo app. or N/A or what!? why cant it be as easy as a jegs/summit site?

Yes, it would be classified as a Mk3/4 Escort/Orion on Burton's website. It actually should show the Escort XR3 car, which would be closest to the US one in trim and parts.

The cams from Burton are all for the 1.6 head, and will not fit the 1.9 unless its cam bearings are bored out to fit the stepping of the 1.6 cam. By then you'd have to remove the came out the distributor end of the head. It's possible, but might be expensive (never checked prices for journal boring).

If you want a good all-around hypo cam, go for a fast road injection or turbo cam (if you've got a turbo). Honestly, from the specs of these cams, and the utter lack of support in the US for the CVH engine, I'd go with a Burton stick. They have pretty much every application covered, even in high rev (power peak at 8k). Jegs or Summit has little/none for the Escort.

i will being going with a turbo when i start modding the motor, when i send it out to the machine shop im going to drop compression as low as possible, bore the block and do what can be done with the head, besides that i will be looking for a bigger TB, using HS roller rockers, bigger injectors, never boosted a car before, than again my motors were twice the engine. so i have no choice but to turbo, i think it will be interesting. but now you say these cams for turbo app. can be found on burton?
