1) You can go to an autoparts store and ask what kind of bulb your backup lights need they´ll look it up and tell you.
2) It is possible to change the bulbs in the map lights. you´d have to take off the plastic case and pull the bulb out. I haven´t personally ever had to do it so I´m not sure how hard it is to do.

If you have amber housings then you can get white bulbs. but if you have clear housings you need amber bulbs. your turn signals MUST be amber colored to be street legal. having different colored bulbs will probably cause confusion and possibly an accident.

ok, for some reason my post on this topic did not post...lol...here´s the breakdown on bulbs for the cars

91-92 front turn signals and brake/tails 1157 bulbs
91-92 reverse 1156 bulb

93-96 front turn signals and brake/tails 3157 bulbs
93-96 reverse 3156 bulbs

on the bit about the colorof the turn signals the only problem I have seen anone get ni trouble with is when trying blue or red in the front clear housings..I have had the super whites that look blue when off in the front clears, but they burn white and I have not been pulled over fo them in the past year or so that they have been in there...

Well you live in Arkansas. so...yeah ;-)
But I´m fairly sure that the department of transportation would pull you over if they saw your turn signals blinking white, blinding everyone.
