I just orderd a 1993 honda accord buddy club front and rear, also blackwidow sides. :D I should get the kits in about a week and a half. It will take me about 3 day to install it on my 93 escort. so give me 2 week and i should have pics and how to. If anyone and give me tip on making support for the front bumper, that would help alot. its either that or molding.

well depending on how the bumper is originaly held in place on the accord, you could build some kind of bracket out of metal sheets like on the escort.....i don't know if you have a haynes manual or something like that...but check it out and you'll see what i mean...

on our car there are 4 brackets welded on the frame of the car... they are simple 90 degree bended pieces of metal sheets...i guess you'll want to use thick metal sheets if you want it to be strong...so you might ask a local metal shop to custom build you some....wont cost you much... i guess it would take 5 minutes to build them with the proper tools...which includes a stand alone drill, a metal saw or a tig welder...and a metal press to form the bend... or you could use 16 gauge steel sheets and do it yourself...but i dont know if it will be strong enought...might wanna weld 2 pieces of 16 gauge together...well..this is if you have a mig or tig or gas welder at home....which i dont think so hehehe.. :)

buy one hehehe you can have good one for under 800$ us :) i bought a mig pack and i can do a lot of stuff..like my exhaust system, my muffler, lots of body work, custom air ram, hood scoop, fender scoop and more to come!! hehehe
anyways..keep us informed about your project..i want to see what it will looks like

yeah i guess it will be the easiest way for someone without tools..

have you ever done some body work before? If not..you might wanna check some of the articles that skuce wrote about how to shave your door handles..... he gives some pretty good info on how to proceed with body work. :)

Funny thing you should say that. About 2 years ago me, my mom and dad had a auto body shop. i did most of the body work, my dad did the engine and repair, and my mom did the painting. so skilled in the art of body work.

ahahhaha yeah pretty funny....damn you're a lucky man... I also did some body work by myself...but it would have been nice to work in a bodyshop....i just love the relations between the man, the car, the dust and the paint hehehe

well then the result shall be excellent then! don't forget to link us to some pretty nice pics :)

I work @ a body shop now and had to repair a civic. The owner of the car struck a deal with the shop to get his own hood and cover. Well it turned out to be a kit and it was the worst thing I have ever seen. I had to fab everything to make it work. I used the original cover and cut it up to make a lower air difflector, (get a freebee from your local body shop scrap, we just throw them out anyway) and it bridged the gap between the core sup. and the cover lower edge. It gave a lot more stregnth than I thought, as well as great air flow. I used other sections from a couple of covers to make inner splash shields (side bonus is that no rock will go thru the fiberglass from the inside). I also used some the metal straps with holes predrilled every inch (like a stero strap) to stiffen where needed. Go to my site http://www.wryday.com/~edson/ if you want to see pics of it. If you have any questions email me. good luck

you've done a good job! ...and by the way...where can one find fiberglass sheets? I,ve seen some dudes in a magazine using thick fiberglass glass sheets to mold cusotm speaker enclosure in their trunk...i guess it would be nice to mold my own bumper design..

i know you can also do it by laying stretched layer of fabric and then apply fiberglass paste on them..but it would be harder to build a custom buymper like that hehe

sounds fun. mounts could take you anywhere from an hour to 3-4. that is if you go the good way adn not mold. hitncry has a nice kit the only part i don't like it the fact its molded. other then that is legit! i have the same rear bumper and yes it will need a bit of trimming. my kit is fully mounted no molding if you notice i cut out my license plate box dip. this throws the body line off more and makes it look less like what it really is. hope yours goes well.

Well i got the kit and it looks awsome. I already got the rear on. all the cutting on the rear is in the wheel well, it had to be trimed. The Front is off 1 inch on both sides, which is not to much so i might not cut. The side skirts are off 8 inches so i well be cutting the in half and fiberglassing them. I Well get pics up asap.
