went to change the thermostat on my 95 wagon and the heads to the two bolts at the front of the housing both came right off, i've used penetrating fluid, vice grips, and a torch(aluminum dissipates the heat too quickly) and i still cant get the damn things out. Anyone have any suggestions as to what to try next?

If i cant get this straightened out i will have to drive my crown vic until spring, and i'm not too excited about getting half the gas mileage.

try a bolt extractor. It's always worked for me. Especially when I forget to read the manual to see if it's a left hand thread lol.

wow! you've even used a torch and they wouldn't budge??

so I take if you've got material still sticking outside the head??

worst case scenario you can just drill them out and retap for a larger size bolt, drill out the bolt holes in the housing and just use larger bolts.....

or helicoil...
