I don't think that matters, cause it looks like the stock engine is not in the car anymore. it sounds like he changed to a gas engine

Sounds like an expensive case of hydro-lock. Water doesn't compress like air/fuel. So your connecting rods probably buckled instead.

Is there any water left in the engine?

I once ran in a lake with my All terrain Quad and i had to split the engine appart in order to dry it all good...i tried to air dry it with a compressor but it wasn't enough and i also tried to let it sit outside under the sun and it didn't helped either... maybe you'll have to remove your engine's head and dry everything up...

The ignition is probably not the problem if you have water in your engine.... i had plenty of water in my engine's block...the water got in by the air intake manifold and the exhaust pipe....

You can also try to spray some Octane Booster or Carb Cleaner in your intake manifold in order to help the sparking process...it worked for a friend of mine who also ended up in a lake with is skidoo last summer...yeah i know it sounds crazy but we use his skidoo in the summer to race accross a small lake near is cottage :) hehehe it floats and rides pretty nicely untill you let the revs go down too much ...then it sinks :( hahahha

well if its still the deisel motor, there is no spark. Deisel needs compression. Thats about it, and a turbo is equipped (9 times out of 10). But it sounds like hydrolock like said above, but maybe you just farked your compression beyond recognition.

There is no diesel motor in it anymore. Its a 2.0 liter 16v 150 Hp Rs Gas engine. And there is na water in the engine. Spark plugs were taken out to see if there is a spark or no
