I've seen other people do it too. The engine is too tall for the bay, so you have to drop the crossmember to get the engine mount to sit correctly... kindof a pain in the butt. Tons of other things to do too. Either way... it's all worth it for the exceptional handling in the end.

1500 pound car + 1499 pounds over the front wheels + tiny little brakes = AWESOME HANDLING

Yep! And i see that car a lot :p It's my mechanic that did that.
A ford Aspire with a 1.8bp-t with a t3-hybrid at 18 psi :p About 320hp and more!

Not to difficult to do, but not a lot of space!

If you some information, just pm me!
you sure about that 320hp? because running that much hp should net you better then high 13s. even if you are spining your tires through 3rd gear. I know because i did it.

He have a dyno sheet, a little bit old, with the ugly manifold, running at 8lbs of boost: 210hp 200lbs of torque (near those number)
Now, he run at 16-18psi with his new ceramic coated manifold and all is tuned up. For what reason he cannot pusch his car to the max is that the tranny is from the aspire itself, not from a escort GT. And it's automatic.

if you do this swap i have heard that you cna not use the BP tranny. do to the width of everything when assembled. you will have to use the 1.6L tranny. the bellhousings bolt up the same but you will have to remember to use the 1.6L flywheel and clutch.
