Does anyone have this book, and if so, is it useful for the North American Escorts?
It's primarily aimed at the British Escort, but if it weren't so ridiculously expensive, I'd buy a copy.

I've never downloaded manuals or music etc., especially from a Russian site! So I'm a bit wary of trying now.

It would be great if someone wrote a book that also included North American CVH engines, i.e. the 1.9 and 2.0 up to the end of production.

Well it sounds safe enough then... I'll give it a try.

I have that book. Certainly not worth that kind of money.

You are better off buying the official shop manuals off eBay for your year and pick up books on hot rodding any kind of 4 cyl engine.

There is also good stuff on the CVH on-line. Just Google "Ford CVH Race engines."

    The Mk3 came in a 1.1, 1.3 and 1.6 liter version.

Many engine parts interchange with 1st gen US Escorts...up to 1985.

I have purchased numerous parts from Burton's in the UK, especially pistons and cams. You used to be able to get 11.1 compression in your 1.6 just by using stock 1.3 liter Mk3 Escort pistons.

    Thanks for the info.
Are any of the pistons from England suitable for use in our 1.9 or 2.0 engines?

You said "used to", does that mean the 1.3L pistons are no longer available?

I have the book in PDF form, I went through hell to download it. At the time there were none for sale except one on another sketchy website (go figure lol) for over $80.

Anyhow if you message me I can share a link to it, it only mentions the North American CVHs and doesn't really get into the tall-blocks (Euro 1.8 and US 1.9). If your serious about getting more performance out of your engine it's a great book, and a very interesting read regardless.
