ok my car would not start yesterday so i hooked the charger to it and an half an hour later my car started right up. then this morning i went out to start my car to warm up before i left for school and the battery was so dead that the doam light would not turn on. so i hooked a battery tester to it and i did not have enough juice to measure on the meter. so my real question is do escorts hate winter or do i just need to get a new battery? :-( the part that sucks is that i just got my car back from my dad who has been driving it for the past month so he could get his car fixed.

I´d guess your battery has a bad cell, making it incapable of holding a charge.

Check to see if the battery cells are dry or frozen. Cause.. mine were empty and frozen at least what left Filled them up.. and charged the battery... saved me $130 for a new one

Yeah my battery was working fine, but when my timing belt broke the shop that repaired my "damaged" heads decided to go ahead and change the battery without so much as a call or a walk over here to ASK me. F*&#ing shop NEVER asked me...just went ahead and replaced it. the battery was like 150 bucks....this was AFTER they were already charging me 1000 to fix the head, replace the valves and rebuild it. :-Y :-Y
