i got it out, just needed to take a break. i took a flathead and tapped it till it twisted a little to the right , then tapped back to left and it came out. Same shit i was trying for a hour. lol Got the engine and trans back in. i now need to reinstall suspension and reconnect the engine once again.

Maybe hit it with some liquid wrench, then tap it lightly with a hammer side to side until you break the corrosion seal. It should pull out easily after that.

i took it down the road a this afternoon and ended up blowing part of the i/c piping off.  i had to walk about 300 yards back to find it . best part is i had to tighten the clamp with a dime because i didnt have a socket or flathead in the car. got it tight enough to make it back home. I could barely see out of the windshield so i decided that 6 years was long enough with out a bath, so i gave her one. notice the wheel gap in the front? i took the coilovers off and a stock suspension back on. gonna do the same for the rear until i find a set of 2in springs.

dont give up and you will hear that sound coming out from under your hood, took me 6years after the last engine blew to finally do it.

the car still hasnt made it to the exhaust shop. kinda funny i worked so hard at getting the car running again then abandoned it once again...

Ive always been into trading stuff / bartering. My latest score was a good one. I got a pro acoustic 2000 watt amp for 30bux and a polk dxi 12 in a ported box for 50 shipped, both off of ebay. So I had $80 in this little sound system. I found a guy on CL that was wanting some car audio equipment and had some 18 in rims and tires for sale. Well i convinced him to swap even. So i got a set of wheels and tires for 80 bux, not bad huh?

Pic of said wheels on car.

Now question time.... The rims barely rubbing on the rear strut. I thought i has the exact offset of 18's on the car years back. I wonder if i raise the car back up in the rear will it quit rubbing? Should i think about a spacer? It really dont need to be much, maybe just thicker than a nickle. Fronts have no issues as i have put the stock suspension back on.

I have 18's and had the same issue. I added spacers, which resolved the issue. I also had to totally remove my fenderwell lip.

    Good luck!

Dave do you remember how thick of spacer you got?. I would think the 3mm would be ok. I found 3mm 5mm and 10mm on the small side. They go up to 65mm. now thats some offset!
