my gt is automatic and i was wondering how complicated it would be to put in a manual tranny.in case mine goes bad anytime.how expensive might it be?does anyone know?

I´ve been told it is a big hassle and in my case it´s probably better to start with a five speed.Are you planning on road racing?A few years ago there was an article on a 9 sec 4 cyl pinto with nos and the guy said he had tried a stick but in the quarter his times were slower and the reliability went down.I have also done quite a few stop light to stop light in an 88 GT I had, but even with the stick, once you get hooked up you can´t give it everything cause, until you pass your torque peak it´s still real easy to break em´ loose.I´m not sure the hp on your GT but in mine with such a light car even when no mods were done yet it was hard gettin all 130 hp to work for me.But I never lost,which I can´t say for my auto.
