no, it is the protege/familia GTR bumper. You can either get the protege support, or trim down a stock escort bumper to act as a support for this bumper. I had a GTR bumper on my blue car a few years back, and I had a trimmed down escort bumper as a support. The bumper slides on, and then you bolt it to the bottom of the fenders. It lines up pretty well:

I have seen a few scorts with the protege front bumper, and I am assuming that it mounts the same, but I am not 100% on that. Easiest thing to do is hit up a junk yard and try it.

As for the headlights, you don't HAVE to use the tracer lights, but it makes the front end look a little more lined up.

Nothing like being late to the party! Skuce, are you swapping the headlights for a gain in the performance of your headlights, beyond the fact they use H4 bulbs and not 9004, are those better at light projection, or are you just doing this for the look? I have looked high and low for aftermarket headlight housings, cause the old stock one's are terrible, if those are better, beyond just the bulb type, than new replacement oem housings, I am interested in doing this myself. I have pollished the old ones on my 96 and they are better but could be MUCH better. Any thoughts?

I used the stock GTR bumper core support (rare to find) and it bolts up...IF....you remove the one stock mount location on the left side of the car. It's 2 bolts. It's just in the way.

So the bumper is held on by 5 nuts on the core support studs....and 2 screws in the fender corners.

Probably would be good to get the plastic fittings off a 3rd gen Escort or a Protege. The escort has the metal holes already there from the factory...just no insert to screw into.

The Aussie headlights are generally a "clearer" headlight than the North American ones. That means they used less fluting inside the lens.
There may be some gain since the headlights do have something similar to a cutoff that modern headlights have....but it's not anything huge to write home about.

It being an H4 does make it easier to convert it over to an HID system (ONLY IF you use a mechanically shrouded High-Low HID system).

hey fellas.. just so you know, the Laser bumper available on ozeparts or corksport does not incorporate the lower grey lip that is seen on the pictures that were posted. these are very rarely available as a separate item... not found at many AUS wreckers, and if you do find one, it will more than likely be from a member on FordLaser.com

hehehe, I actually used to own one of the gray TX3 front lips. I had picked it up from Corksport years ago. I just never got around to installing it, and ended up selling it. It was 2 pieces, and had mounting tabs the whole way accross it.

-Laser KH or KF Headlights (Pick which style you like...OZparts)
-Laser KH or KF Grille (matching headlight shape...OZparts)
-Laser KH/KF Corners (stock or aftermarket clear...Escort do not fit...OZparts)
-Laser KH/KF "City Light" sockets (or there will be an empty hole in the back of the headlights) - have to get these from a wrecked Laser
-Laser KH/KF Inner steel headlight brackets (under the grill and bolts to the rad support) or fab your own. (Metal Fab or Wrecked Laser)
-H4 Headlight harness or 9004-to-H4 conversion harness (ebay)
-Modify Bottom headlight bolt location on stock fenders (cut/welding)
-Bumper with no "Hump" in the center (Tracer or 323/Pro or Aftermarket)
-No A/C - piping sits behind diver side headlight location

Pick One of the Two Following choices:

-Move Rad over ~1"-2" towards passenger side (to clear drivers headlight socket) by modifying upper and lower rad brackets (welding)

    "or"

-Swap in 90-94 323/Protege Rad support and Radiator (this is what the Lasers used as Stock parts) (welding)
-Use 90-94 323/Protege Upper and Lower Rad Hoses

That's the total list to do a "Good" job of the swap

See page 1 of this thread for Pics of the issues that need to be addressed.
