if you do find one tell others on here. but no, they come from Australia so they're gonna be pricey no matter what, international shipping will do that to single items.

They have headlights at different prices and quality, just email them for a shipping qoute and see if they will be cheaper. I did a couple years ago for some headlights and they were cheaper than corksport.

I see they're very similar to the escort lights and grill , are they a direct bolt on. they look like they are.

Yep... Go to the nearest junkyard, find a 2nd gen tracer, and voila! You now have a set of Australian KF Laser headlights. So you just have to get the grill. I know what you're thinking... You're wondering why the the inside top corner of the headlight is not turned down. You'll find the answer after the next quote.

The lights from Corksport are not the Australian Laser headlights. They are off of the Japan-Spec Laser. So in light of my statements above, the Ozeparts quote is now overpriced. Japan-Spec lasers are extremely rare. So I think Corksports quote is very reasonable.

bumping this post for incorrect info that is posted.

US/CDN Spec Tracer lights are NOT Aussie KF laser lights.

They are just a non-beveled version of the normal Escort light.

The laser ones have an internal reflector and use a H4 bulb with corresponding harness. They also mount tot he rad support differently and require a Mazda 323/Protege rad to work.

2nd: the US spec corners do not fit the Aussie lights. The Laser one slip in with clips where the Escort ones "pop" on and then use 2 screws.

    ===========================

Next.....the so-called Jap Spec Laser headlights ARE Australian laser lights. Just off the later KH model.
Yes...Jap Spec lasers are VERY rare...that is cause they are called TX3's. But they weren't a Japanese only thing. They were normal in Australia and just ran a different computer in Japan to use the higher octane fuel (what we know as the BP26 computer...the BP55 is the Aussie/Euro version for 91 octane)
The TX3's were the only Lasers to be built in Japan. All the rest were built in the Australian plant and shipped out to various locations in the pacific.
The TX3's never sold well in either country simply for the fact it had the Laser name attached to it (same thing happened here with the Escorts)
That is a big reason why they are rare as anything now....there were never that many made to order. Especially in japan....nobody wanted them when they had Skylines and Mazda GTR's on the market that didn't have a Ford badge on the grill.

90-91 Square headlight lasers are called the KF
91-94 Curved headlight Lasers are called the KH and KHII
Both runs had TX3's...which were the turbo AWD versions.

I know this is a year old ...but I don't want to see incorrect info like this again being put as truth when it comes to expensive lights from over the pond.

Thanks Skuce, for the correction in production misinformation on my part. I'll be the first to admit that. However, your answers bring more questions...

If the laser headlights only work with modifications like the protege radiator and support, different wire harness, and laser corner lights. Then why doesn't Corksport or anyone else mention this?

The Tracer lights may not have the same bulb and internal reflector as the KF laser but, they have the same external dimensions. Ever wonder why, you need tracer lights to fit a laser bumper on your escort?

In light of your new info. It would be much more cost effective, and less headache (if you want KF lights) to use tracer ones. If you want to use the KH ones, then I dunno, that's up to you.

Wont the lights be pointing the wrong direction, knowing that the crazies drive on the wrong side of the road.

    AKA blinding people at night.

What about tracer lights and, tx3 bumper and grille?

They don't exactly point the wrong direction. They just have a "lump" of light headed that way. you can compensate for the most part with the internal lens adjusting.

Both tthe KH and KH lights have the exact same mounting dimensions. Just the KH ones have the curve recessed into them for the different grill. Even tho both the KH and KF grills use the same mounting on the headlights. Kind of a neat way to change the look of the car with only changing the outen lens of the lights and adding a new grill.

As for the bumper idea with the tracer lights.

Tracer lights would be the most cost effective for the "look" you are talking about. plus they mount up like any other Escort light around here.
The Laser grill (KF) might be a little tricky since the Tracers are different than the lasers in more ways that just the mounting of the grill. A Tracer LTS grill would again be more cost effective than a KF grill...and "kinda" has the same look when painted.

Bumper: the Lasers bumper is not like ours. Theirs is a bumper cover with a frame support under it. Just enough plastic to have the bumper hold it's shape...and that's all. They don't use a "rebar" in our sense since thier crash lawas are totally different.

Putting the headlights on the Escort do NOT require you to change your rad support. That's fine. What does have to change is:

-the route of the driver side A/C line (if you have it)
-Move the air bag sensor wire harness out of the way (if you have those)
-Notch the bottom of the fender mounting point on the rad support. The mounting holes are farther apart then ours by about 3/4"
-Move the stock rad over 1" towards the passenger side. Or use different rad.

Hey Skuce where did you order your lights from? Are they from Corksport or did you get them locaily? Also it doesn't look like you can but will the headlight mounts on the lights swap so that you could use the stock corner lights?
