you know, of all the times i've watched that show. i noticed that these people have alllll these new kinds of gadgets and stereos and computers, but out of all of those cars, i only remember one of them mentioning they installed an alarm. and that was for the landcruiser because it had no doors prior.
it gets to me though. these people buy these poor-a**ed cars originally because they are poor-a**ed themselves. so, when they take their freshly pimped cars home, what ever happens afterwards? do they get into accidents, car/gear stolen? what? i just don't imagine these people's older habits (the habits of NOT taking care of their cars) dying when they have a car that needs some tlc.
reminds me of a buddy of mine who had a '93 corisca who never washed it, rarely changed the oil and neglected all the other things needed kept-up with the car. and now he has a sweet '97 sebring w/ 70K on it, and i don't imagine his old ways of treating cars ever changing..
a zx2 would've been sweet to pimp out, but i still would have preferred they bought a haggard box with 230,000 miles on it, and pimp that out. something challenging. a scion has no imaination. the reason why toyota created the scion lineup was because the car's motif was all about customization. you ever see one of those at the car show with every option on it?? it looks like something straight out of streetracer magazine. they're real nice cars, but still, i'd choose an escort over it.
...but then again, i'm not "X to the Z" Xzibit.
