There where never a turbo version of this engine in a production car
The only 626 turbos where the 83-87 with a 2,0L FE SOCH (120hp)
And the 88-91 with a 2,2L F2T SOCH (145hp)

Its claimed that Mazda USA buildt a few 260hp FE DOCH Turbo cars for racing only, but i have never been able too get this verified.

The turbo setup on my engine is completely homemade.

i was told that they where turbod. and some where selling theyre turbo( forgot what kind) in fordlaser forum.. i was aboutto get em, but not enough money.
The reason migth be that most of them who buys these engines turboes them.
Even if i love these engines with and without turbo, i have too admit i dont belive its worth the money too buy and install them in a car who orginally had a different engine, without boosting them.

Spending 5K for 250-400hp with a custom turbo setup seems too make far more sense than spending 3K just too get a stock FE DOCH running in a US spec MX6,Probe or Escort/323. (access too stock ecu and harness migth reduse the price of the later, but leaves less room for tuning)

The Sportage version migth be easyer (and cheaper) too find but are less powerfull and less suitable for FWD cars and leaves you with tiny injectors of a type whos hard too replace with something bigger. (air scrouded or something fishy like that)
Custom intake and a standalone injection migth be nessecary just too reach the stock output of the 626 version, AND too make the engine fit the car.
