I was wondering, my baby needs a little work and my work schedule makes it kind of rough to browse around a junkyard...

I was wondering if anyone knew of a REALLY good place to find escort parts, I guess specifically electrical parts. I need to replace a brake light socket and my defogger switch.

As for the light, I already tried replacing the 'insert' that they sell at autozone, it didn't fit too well... the defogger switch broke when I removed it, just old I guess. Anyway... just fishin.

I get a lot of parts from www.rockauto.com. But I dont recall having seen the brake lamp socket there. I also got a socket from an auto parts store that didnt fit very well. The only defroster switches I know about are the ones for early 2nd gen. Escorts (91-95) rear window. Those were unavailable from Ford the last time I checked (and I check back about once a year), nor from any other source, other than junkyards. And lots of the ones in junkyards no longer work either.
I modified/replaced mine, using a relay and two mini push button switches, one 'normally open' to turn the relay (and the rear defroster) on, the other 'normally closed' button to turn it off. Turning the ignition off also unlatches my relay setup. It took me several hours to make up the modification, with parts from my misc. elect. parts boxes.
