from what i had previously seen on the website, it was only for a 2 dr. I had wrote to them asking what mods could be done to make it fit a 4 dr. and they wrote back saying that they just test fitted it on a 4 dr. and it fit.

all i know is that they wrote back saying that it fit the 4 dr. I'm worried about ground clearance w/ the kit because i want to pass inspection w/o having to throw away 700 bucks, which nobody can, especially me. i have time to research tho b/c i'm goin to get everything done (kit, paint job) next summer. i will post the info when and if they get back to me if anybody's interested.

All i can say is if you dont know what you doin dont buy the kit. It is at leatst 15 hours of prep work before you even paint it. I think the cars look clean without kits so i wouldnt do it unless your a perfectionist.

i heard from some people that the front bumper doesn't fit perfectly with out some mods in the third gen. so i say just get some universal ground effects.. it saves money and just like happycakes said the car looks hot w/o the kit

Bah. You kidding? The third gen looks like /ass/ without the kit. Total and utter ass. It was the beginning of the 'tall and skinny' econoboxes like the foci and new Civics and Corollas and the end of clean body lines. The kit fixes most of its problems, but is a lot of work, I think. It's got some fitment issues, from most people I've heard, but it shouldn't take anywhere near fifteen hours of work to put on. Once on, I'd probably have a pro do the painting, because I suck at it.

And on a random note: Where'd you find a 98 with 16,000 miles on it?!

 It's the exact same car as the 2nd gens.. just new panels... it's no taller or skinnier than the rest of us.

The only sideskirts that shouldn't be interchangable between a 2nd & 3rd gen are the ones that come up above the rocker panel, like the early stock GT models. All 2nd and 3rd gen cars share the same floor, wheelbase & rocker panels.

As for the 2nd bumpers.. 2dr & 4drs all use interchangable bumpers. The wagon has a rear bumper that works with the wide liftgate, so it's the only exception.

Nah, park a third gen sedan next to a second gen sedan. It's taller. It's the same car mechanically but the roof has been raised a few inches (I'm pretty sure, or at least it /looks/ that way) and I know it sits higher. Don't mind my cynical-ness, I get that way sometimes at night.

Okay, here's specs for everybody that was curious (Like me)

Important stuff:
Same wheel base, third gen is 4 inches longer in the body.
The third gen is about an inch taller, weighs about 50 more lbs than the 2g sedan.
The wheels are set at the same width. So I guess for the most part Beaverboy was correct. It seems/looks a lot bigger than any of the 2gens though, save maybe the wagon.

Uh... Paint is kind of a you get what you pay for deal. Maaco will do an okay job if you do all the necessary prep work yourself. But for good paint be prepared to pay. If that's the color of your car in that picture, I think it looks good the way it is. The blue? Unless the paint is actually messed up, I mean chipped and stuff. :\

don't worry about that. you can just have the kit bolted-on in stead of molded so you can take off the kit and put back on the original bumpers for stuff like that. people around where i live do that all the time.. they put back on their stock bumpers, and rims and such. that's why you hang on to original parts.
