    you can buy and run more watts rms from the amp than your speakers are rated at because the resistance in the wiring and rating discrepency and on top of that think of it like and engine and revs yeah you may shift at 3000rpm but that doesent mean that is the highest it can rev

    Theres lots of things to look into when getting a bigger amp, you need to see if your power wire can take more power, as well as your fuse at the battery, you need to see if your subs can take that power, and what you can wire it at to receive the power, you need to see what kind of amp to get, i.e 2 channel, or mono block.

    Not something i'd just jump into, but its fun to look around, and get an idea, come home and do some research, and see if it can work with your wiring and subs.

    JL is all about the name, get something like TMA (JL's off shore built products) or Audison.

    How serious are you about sound?(
    Heres a decent unit at a fair price;
    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_122 ... 2608D.html
    If you search you could find it for around 400.00
    Gonna need 0 gauge wire,1 farad cap(as minimum) a real alternator and a fan to keep it cool. (Then again,you should have these items with any system if your trying to pump more than 800w to your car.

    I went there and it was a rip off false advertisment :mad: I went there thinking i was going to get somthing good for cheap but it wasnt that easy. They had amps mostly jensens duals and crappy stuff like that and it was all over priced. So im just sticking with my kenwood for now i like kenwood its been good to me.

    i will take:

    most any of the zapco ag series amps. the ag1000 does 900watts x 1 @ 4ohms.

    or

    orion hcca the old red ones before the xtreme line came out. they where half ohm stable.

    It'll do it. I've done it with some Crown K2 (balanced current) amps at work.
