well, i was having some fun after school yestreday, which made me push my escort alot
further than i normally do....

well, it started off w/ a nice leasurely drive through sewickley, to drop of my "g/f"....so i drop her off, only to find that i need to be home in like 6 minutes, so i can leave for work....well, i leave her plan, and gun it all the way home.......so, i´m doing like upwards around 65-70-75mph, finally, i hit scaffe it´s about the 2nd road i´m on before i go home....so, it was basically stop sign, turn right, and than a nice gradual incline on this sweet straight away....so, power housed it through my gears.....5,500 shift, 5500 shift, 5500 shift, 5000....than as i hit the end of 4th gear, the road takes a 90 degree turn to the left, so, i downshift and brake around the corner, my tires are screeching........than the next turn is a 90degree to the right, this time, i just let it go.....told my little bro to hold on.........hopped over the yellow, turned before the turn and got the car to slide!!!!
no e-brake at all.....all i heard was my tires screeching, and smoking a little bit....so, my car was sliding, and than the next turn is another 90degree to the left, took that one a little slower, and caught up to my one buddy in his 93 ply. neon...and started flicking me off, so i layed on the horn....and we both neglected the up coming stop sign, and took off towards my house, he got a nice head start on my, but, coming around 2 very nice bends, i got my ground back...and was tailing him.....he was constantly on his brakes, i touched mine once...to slow down when enter a speed trap....well, actually no worries, i know all the sewickley hgts cops....so, we´re going, his neon has zero balls, piss poor handling, and can´t do jack....

now, i know you are all saying IDIOT!!! speeding on a residential road!! well, i hate to brake it to you, it was a backroad where all the richiez live....wide open throttle hurdling down the backroads......

not bad for 20 mins.....go home by 3:15......even w/ dropping my lady off, and taking a much longer route home......

Sounds like fun. I got too much shit in my trunk and backseat to be taking corners anywhere near that fast ;-)
But yeah just because it´s a rich residential neighborhood doesn´t mean they don´t have kids that can sprint across their 1800 mile long front yards to play in the streets :-] hehe

Awsome!! Where I used to live we had some 90 degree turns that was a lot of fun to take at like 65, wearing down the e-brake. I never did it without the e-brake, call me chicken.
Where I live now, there is an awsome part of the road that you can get air on going just 70, then it goes into a heavy turn. I have yet to get air, then drift into the turn, but I get air on that hill every time I go over it.

I am kinda scared to go that fast in my escort... I mean I can probably do it but I´m afraid I´ll lose control and kill my car. And myself

But you should see my on the mountain bike... holy shit I´m off the hook :-]

I was just coming home from my grandparents house earlier tonight and I was flyin through this backroad doin like 55 mph in 3rd gear and suddenly I hit this big ass pot hole and my car bounced, jumped, splashed in the water in the hole, and then swerved to the left. my CD player skipped and I about lost it. I KNEW that damn hole was there, but I forgot about it and I almost paid dearly for it. Glad it didn´t swerve right and I´m even more glad there was no oncoming traffic. (if there was I wouldn´t have been goin that fast anyway)

dude, now i got to more stories....

after school friday...i went to the bank, well not directly...and i was going up this road that is way in the cut.....but it brings you up towards the country club....well i´m somewhat familiar with the road, but i´ve never flown up it before...so i´m doing like 60.....not really screeching around these corners....than...i see the road just disappear to the right...so i down shift once to 3rd than once more to 2nd, screech around the corner....than the road took a sudden left, so i jerked the wheel the otherway, and screeeeeeeeeeeeech i was sideways again....if i would have lost it i would have been in a pond or a hill side...or flipped over....

ok and earlier today, i pick my lady up, and went to a friends house for a few minutes, than they had to leave to go pick someone up, so we followed them, they took the quickest way to where i work.....the basic area where i work.....so, i took the longer way on 65 to duff....well.....so i´m flying down the same strech where i flew past that cop......i made the same turn and went flying through the next series of turns....i´m doing like 65 in 3rd screeching the 1st 2 corners......than the next one i went semi-sideways and since the road was a little wet i didn´t catch right away...so like half way through the turn i hear vicki...go "oh my god...." than her hands grabbed onto the seat w/ dear life......the i slowed down a little bit to take the next like 100degree turn and screech than proceed to do the limit..... :-] :-]

i really think i´m starting to get the feel for my scort .....i really think i´ve got a goooood feel for the suspension, and like the body lean and everything......

also, cruizin to the new linkin park cd is nice....i recommend going to pick up that cd it´s pretty good....

I´ll never ever do anything stupid in my EGT when I have a passenger. I believe in risking only my own life, and not that of other people. I don´t think I am good enough, or ever will be good enough, to fully trust my abilities to show off while I have somebody else´s life in my hands. It´s an incredible responsiblity, and one I take very seriously.

But get me alone on a nice dry back road on a cool day and I´m unleashed :-] :-] :-]

Hey guys remember ANY time you race you are risking your own life plus those in the other car.I was raging with a mustang cobra a few years ago.It was late at night(2 am or so) and we were on the interstate with very little traffic.as we round this curve there were cars in three out of the four lanes going in our direction so we both hit it racin for the last open lane and then this big a$$ winnebago moves into the last lane and we both had to dynamite the binders.The ABS on my 94 LX 4dr was not up to the task of stopping that fast while doing 125mph or better.The front end grabbed and sent the rear end to pass the front.Thank god I had a fender lead on the mustang or we would both be dead.I managed to correct the slide about 6 inches into his lane and he luckily saw me comin and had time to swerve while fighting his own slide.I don´t think the people in the motorhome even saw us coming but I know they heard us.We both pulled off at the next rest area and introduced ourselves and I thank god We didn´t meet in the coroners wagon.I had alot of respect for him for missing me and he said that I was a great driver too cause he explained that I was at 90 degrees with the fogline and he couldn´t understand how I steered out of it going as fast as we were, you should have rolled he said.I now understand how racing can turn from a clean rush, into a tradgedy in the blink of an eye.Just be careful.

sh|7 i can´t STOP listening to Meteora, i musta played through the cd about 20 times in the past week, so awesome! recognize the chord progression from the last song though? you can sing along pushing me away with numb, they´re near exact.

all ur story is fine cept for the 125 part...speedo only goes to 125. So far everyone here w/ gt´s have all reported(cept for one 140 mph fuck) that we´ve only ben able to get to about 117-119 and after that its kinda pointless to keep trying cuz it takes so long to get to the top speed.

yeh that meteora cd is nice. On way from g/fs house yesterday i was listening to it.

it was a 2 hour drive so i found myself bored and the song "faint" seems to take that boredom away by giving me the sudden urge to go real fast. I like it...hehe

siragan- yeah i know...if anything would have happened to her had i lost control of the car...i wouldn´t have been able to go on.....honestly.....my life consists of 2 things....my car, and her.....so...yeah it was incredibly stupid of me to do this....i prefer to do shit like that by myself...the thing was i didn´t initially do it...the slide was on purpose but since i didn´t see the wet of the road til i got around the corner.....Vicki has been w/ me through nearly all my driving experiences, ´cept my 130 in a 300zx..... she trusts me, yet she knows i´m crazy all at the same time.....i trust myself alittle better now...but, now, i really don´t think i´ll be doing anything crazy, unless it´s speeding.....

Jug- yeah you got a point there! i knew i heard it somewhere before....

as for the rest those 2 stories were wreckless...yet fun....and i wouldn´t recommend doing any of it.....i slowly built my tolerence to taking fast corners....slowly getting faster each time....until i pushed the car over the limit those few times....

now, if you already know what your doing, good for you....but otherwise if you are some wreckless teen such as myself....take your time at what you are doing.....learn out your suspension reacts, how the steering of the car works (every car is different), and be sure to make sure you got good tires and brakes.....and not to mention SEATBELTS!...

So don´t be stupid...since you read this you are probably going to take your scort out and take some corners...DON´T!!!! it is incredible dangerous....all it takes is a split second. In the split second you could loose it all...

My voice of reason didn´t kick in until i turned in front of an S10 and demolished my Geo...and it still takes a backseat sometimes if I´m sitting downtown with some ass in a Cavalier reving his engine beside me. I don´t have a girl, but I have a car and I´ll do anything to keep from wrecking it. If this means I have to stop racing and settle down, I´ll take the bruise on my ego instead.

i know exactly what you mean james....
voice of reason....man i never thought i´d see the day when mine would kick in.....now, i also have the voice of evil, vicki is always "lets go get the escort some ass....".....we use to pull up behind nice cars and jerk the brakes and act like they were going at it......that was in the buick......good times...

i also, haven´t raced to many people, i´ve got 4 races under my belt, and those were drag races...well 2 weren´t...

but hey, times change....my "girl" isn´t really my "g/f" but we hang out enough that you´d get the impression...so, man, gotta take a chill pill when you got something worth living for...
