    laeve the stock drive line in, but apply the eletric power to the rear wheel to assist and on flat land to be the sole power.

    i think its great that people want to do projects like this but whats the point on spending all this money on an electric conversion when you already own a fuel efficient vehicle?

    i cant imagine hundreds of pounds of batteries being good for the environment

    it certainly isnt good for your bank account

    and performance sucks compared to a stock motor with a turbo kit

    so what is the big attraction to having a slow, short ranged electric car with backyard engineering level of reliability?


    wouldnt it just be easier to put a sail on the roof and hope for a windy day?

    I know I'm ringing up an old thread here, but being a Certified Yale/Hyster Tech, stay far away from most things that say Total Source or SMH or TVH on them, you get what you pay for.

    fyi theres electric cars running at pikes peak nowadays, maybe check em out and get inspired to build something electric that is worth while

    (IE take advantage of electric motors great powerband and low mounting and not try to spend thousands on parts to save hundreds on energy costs)
