tempos and escorts have different bolt patterns, and they are not the same.

    ahh

ok I stand corrected then, just saw that the tempo rims looked damn near identical to the escort 1, they are both 4 bolt or at least the rims in the j/y were.

Im in Calgary here. I very rarely come to these forums myself. Usually for tech help as I not very mechanically inclined.

I had dreams of making something of my 96lx when I first bought it. But I have had way too many financial set backs to invest in the old girl. It has been more of a maintenance game with this car.

    In the last year:

CV joints - alternator - battery - complete exhaust from manifold back to end pipe- timing belt - control arm - 2 new fans (done myself) - spark plugs and wires - any many more smaller details I cannot even recall. It has cost me more than I paid for it.

I wish I was better at mechanical work. My clutch just starting failing this past weekend, quite severely I think to. I have to park it. I have been told I should hold on to it as it is in reasonably good shape. I have some money to start getting her looking good again.

Anybody in Calgary interested in working on a clutch replacement at a "less than mechanic shop" rate? *wink* *wink*

I look forward to having a car worthy of showing to other enthusiasts one day, hopefully sooner than later
