I´m started to having this problem since my intake was installed. Or hmmm maybe even before that. When I test my computer it showes that O2 says that mixture is lean.
While it´s idleing it´s producing water that dripping from my exost. While I´m driving everything is fine first 15 minutes (after computer codes were reseted) After that car starts to missfire in 2000-3000 rpm range. I can really feel it when I´m driving on 5th gear. After about hour of driving car starts being realy rough and it feels like I´m missing power. After the driving there is a black powder on my x-ost tip and little bit on the bumper meaning that I was running rich. Car has custom cold-ram air intake. swaped 3.8 TB ported polished and matched intake manifold. O2 is original and was never changed. I just wonder is it could be a O2 problem or I need new set of performance injectors and preasure regulator.???

Alex, You need to put the car back the way it was and get it running good again. Once the car is running normal you can re-think the intake change you made. I would not suggest chasing the problem by adding more modifications to the engine.

hey if you figure it out let me know. I´m always running really rich. My car looks ash gray from behind from the exhaust. The engine performance drops and then gets better from time to time, but I dont know how to feel it when its misfiring and stuff...but I think I´m going to check my plugs again and stuff.

OK.. I think I fixed it. First I´ve got new O2 sensor. It helped but not that much. So I went trough my knowledge brain database and find out:))) that last think it could be is Coolant temperature sensor. Becasue It´s responsible for mixture regulation according to temperature of the engine. Ok I installed that. It stopped really bad missfire. But still I had some lose in performance. And I look around my engine bay and sudentlly all bad stories about Accel coil pack came back to me. I took this crup out and I put my original coil pack. It helped dramatically. My car was almost runing good. After about hour driving I realized that my computer is calibrated to my old MAF and new one that I got with bigger MAF housing could be calibrated differently. I stopped and put my old MAF on. All problems dissapeared. So the final thing is DON´T EVER BUY ACCEL STUFF. IT´S GARBAGE!!!! I had that pack on for less then 3 months,!!!

Glad you figured it out. Sounds like one of the coils on that coil pack blew out. I´ve heard of that happening before. I had an accel coil on my old cavalier for 1 day and it went bad, yep 1 day! That taught me to stay away from them, lol. ~Mike

is the AIT sensor pluged into it?????

if its not, the computer will think the ambient temp is way different than it really is. this forces it in to a panic mode where it uses preset maps and enrichments. it will make it so the timing doesnt advance or retard as much as it should, also will make it slightly richer cuz it will think the intake temp is cold. causing blakc puffs of smoke.
fuel injection is crazy. one bad sensor and it makes it freak out.
