Ok here's the story, me and Sadanman are going to go pick up his GF from another town which is about 30 min away...we made it in 19.

Doing 65 on the back roads we actually felt the car floating, talk about no weight on the car.

I have seen sadanman drive like this before, it scares the shit out of me, but it's always fun to see, an escort doing 90, pealing out is so fun with him too, we must have left at least 4 tracks when we where rushing to pick up his GF

The only thing is, we started with a quater tank, and ended up on E, that doesn't really seem right, anybody know anything that might be the problem?

Think about it this way:

At full boost my 550cc injectors were running about 75% duty cycle. So lets calculate for 50% duty cycle, to account for on/off/part throttle.

225cc x 4 = 900cc/min = .9 liters/min = 0.238 gallons/min

Figure an average speed of 60 mph to make it easy, so 0.238 gallons/mile

1/0.238 = 4.20 miles per gallon

Of course you will be doing a little better than that, but running around at WOT all the time is certainly not good for economy.

Even little four cylinders eat up a lot of gas when at full throttle...

I used to drive my LX around 100-110 down the interstate when I was like 22. I dont think I ever needed to ask anyone why I only got 15 mpg or less.

I got 23mpg from Alexandria Minnesota to Fargo going 95ish on cruise. I got in one of those packs of like 7 cars going 95+ and I really needed to get home so i decided to join them.

Dude, don't drive like an ass. Your froiend shouldn't either.
it's just plain stupid. 60+ mph on a back road is not "cool". Feeling the car floating is not "cool" either
What if a child ran out in front of the car?
You'll grow up someday and see what I mean.

Haha if anyone knows Florida and alligator valley or whatever you call it, the part of 75 that goes through the everglades, they know those packs are not hard to find there :). It's very long and nothing but highway with barely any cops around. Only one or two exits through the entire way. One time I led one of those in a Dodge Caravan at about 110 (that was maxed out for an hour!) that was so fun! Me and about 6 or so other cars doing 110 for a whole hour lol. Of course once we saw a few people pulled over once we started to get closer to civilization, the whole pack pretty much fell apart. But it's a nice and relaxing feeling, almost like sitting with all the other drivers at a table and drinking beers lol. Everyone is just enjoying the speed.
