you can ground it to any piece of metal on the front. just get some screws, and drill a hole a little smaller than the screws. sand around the holes with some sand paper until you can see bare metal. and screw the ground wires into it.
i ran my wires with the speedo cable threw the fire wall.
I grounded my wires to the engine block itself when I ran something or another. Of course I already had stock fog lamps on my GT, so the wiring to the cabin and to a power source was already in place. There should be wires already grounded to a 10mm bolt somewhere in the engine bay...just use that bolt instead of drilling any new holes.
Is there any website that would explain how to install driving lights on an LX Escort...cauz i kinda suck pretty bad with wires...im trying to learn more and more everyday but sometimes it's just not enough hehehe
its not that hard...on my wiring harness, there was a ground, a power and a remote...(i.e. switch). Just folow the instructions, its not hard...simply splice into the parking lights, (what i did) and thats the power, then ground it pretty much anywhere, and run the switch into the cabin.
