Camber plates for the fount dont seem to be available for the first gen escorts. Moog does sell a strut mount that can/remove camber PN k8574, but it dose not seem like a all to adjustable friendly option.
What about slotting the two outer bolt hols on the strut tower and sifting the whole strut/spring?

There is only one bolt on the bottom strut mount.
I did think about camber bolts but want something stronger.

Camber bolts work just fine, so does slotting the strut mount holes or the slotting the holes in the strut where it mounts to the knuckle. The only issue with these is that if you ever have to undo said bolts then you will most likely need an alignment.

I used THIS on my 90, and it works really well. I was able to dial out all of the positive camber, and add some caster at the same time. It was a very worthwhile purchase. At the time, they were available on rockauto.com, but I guess they no longer stock any.

What are you trying to accomplish? This Escort ran high positive camber by design, on the front, it worked well if you set the toe out as specified. not zero not toed in, no loose parts allowing the toe to go positive on acceleration. The camber is not adjustable at the strut/knuckle area as on a 2nd gen. One pinch bolt to clamp the knuckle tight around the strut. The rear camber is adjustable. Most often accomplished with a wedge type kit worked well from Ford. I saw some shops go as far and bending the frame horn out where the lower control arm inner pivot mounts, only created more problems. By using recommended alignment settings, for the front toe out. I was able to get good tire mileage from these cars. I once did an alignment on brand new Tempo, same basic suspension saw it 20000 miles later, rotated the tires and sent it on its way.
