Have Koni 8611 struts and Eibach springs, looking for some suggestions for a good quality adjustable rear sway bar, this is for a 95 EGT and I am SCCA racing, Watkins Glen, New Hampshire Speedway, Lime Rock so it will be road courses always
Not sure if there is any company that makes an adjustable rear sway bar, BUT, I'm pretty sure addco has a set that adds a bar to the front, and replaces the bar in the rear with a thicker one.
I don't have a basis of comparison, but I love my Suspension Techniques bar kit. It adds one 3/4" up front and a 7/8" bar for the rear. The car is lowered, is incredibly stiff and have zero to little yaw in turns.
I can have one made. I have a custom FSB on my ZX2 now--made 15/16 (OE was 1"). I have made 3-way bars for Focus before (see photo)--the Escort bar would look similar.
My rear bar is the ZXTuner 3-way...and is 22mm (7/8" is 22.24mm). That is is good size, IMO--but it would depend the rest of your setup as to what would be a good starting point. I am tossing around the idea of a 15/16" (24mm) bar--but have not made one yet.
Yep--I have that bar (ZXTuner) as well. I would do forged ends--like on the Focus bar pictured above. The ZXTuner (Progress) bar has welded ends.
I'd make --or remake-- 7/8" (22.25) and 15/16" (24mm) I think. I could do a 3-way 1" as well--but kind of think it is overkill (at least on my setup). If someone wanted one, however, it could certainly be done.
Anyone have an interest in getting something made?
