earlier today i decided i didn't like my yellow headlights anymore so i took some fingernail polish remover to a rag and started rubbing the first headlight turned out great clear and new looking. the second however seemed to fog up like it got melted or something. plastic scratch remover don't work. i don't know what to do.

take some sand paper... if the lense is not deformed

120-300 grit
400-600 grit
800-1500 grit

sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand... then when you think your done sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand sand... then after going over it with 1500 grit for a while the cheapest easiest way to clear them is get spray bomb clear coat and do multiple thin layers not a couple thick layers... the clear will fill in all the small scratches from the sand paper.

the more expensive and time consuming option is to then get a plastic polish kit and polish them from there... there should be a how to with brands and products to use if you take this route.
